USEPA created the Excellence in Site Reuse award program to highlight the best examples of cleanup work that supports communities and returns land to important use with the goal of recognizing those who have been instrumental in partnering with USEPA to foster cleanup and reuse. The award - a first for Region 9 - was the first USEPA reuse award in the country to be given to a tribe.
