Burial Assistance Financial Support
The Wiyot Tribe provides to enrolled Tribal Citizens some financial support due to the passing of a family member. Requests can be made at any time after your loved one has passed.

Fishing & Hunting Permit Reimbursement
Our fishing & hunting license reimbursement program was created to encourage traditional fishing and hunting practices. The Tribe will reimburse 1 fishing and 1 hunting license per enrolled Wiyot household per calendar year (January 1st to December 31st). To receive the reimbursement the enrolled Tribal Citizen must submit the receipt or license showing the home address and include contact information. These requests are usually processed within 1-2 weeks from the date submitted.

School Supplies & Clothes Support
To support our children and their families, the Wiyot Tribe is pleased to offer per child $150.00 for school clothes, and either $20 (grades K-6) or $40 (grades 7-12) for school supplies. The child must be an enrolled Citizen of the Wiyot Tribe. These funds must be requested by the child’s Parent/Guardian and the form must be accompanied by proof of school enrollment. Once the application is submitted the funds will be released the following Friday after the application has been deemed complete by the Health and Human Service Department. The Legal Guardian must return receipts for the expended funds for school supplies and/or School clothes by the deadlines outlined on the Request Form for that year. Failure to submit the receipts will result in ineligibility for the program in future years.

Chimney Cleaning Reimbursement
As to promote fire safety, the Wiyot Tribe is pleased to offer to all enrolled Wiyot households a chimney cleaning reimbursement. The Tribe will reimburse up to $100.00 once-per-year (Jan 1st to Dec 31st) towards a chimney cleaning based on receipt of completed service or receipt of equipment rental should a homeowner do the cleaning themselves.

Garbage Pick-up Reimbursement
The Wiyot Tribe is pleased to offer to all enrolled Wiyot households outside Table Bluff Reservation a reimbursement up to $100.00 once-per-year (Jan 1st to Dec 31st) towards garbage removal from their home.

Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Disbursement Loan
The Wiyot Tribe provides to enrolled adult (age 18+) Citizens the opportunity to take out a small loan not to exceed $200.00 and limited to the set-aside amount of $1,000.00 as funds are available. To further qualify, the enrolled adult member must: 1) satisfy any outstanding amounts due to the Tribe (including by not limited to water bills, garbage bills and fines); 2) understand that the total amount of this advance plus a simple interest of one-half percent per month, or 6% per annum is to be recovered by the Tribe; 3) understand that there is a 12-month wait from the date that the loan is repaid in full before becoming eligible for another loan; and 4) understand that to be eligible for any other loans or advances their RSTF advance must be paid off for 12 months and all other charges incurred must be kept current for a period of 90 days. After that time, the enrolled adult member may reapply for an advance as funds are available.

Low-Income Household Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

The Northern California Indian Development Council (NCIDC) provides funding to low-income Wiyot households in meeting their home energy costs. The Wiyot Tribe Health & Human Services Department manages the application process for enrolled Tribal Citizens who need financial assistance in providing their home with electricity and fuel. This program is income-based designed to help those household of the greatest need.

Tribal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
The Wiyot Tribe has partnered with California Tribal TANF Partnership to provide our enrolled Wiyot Tribal Citizens with temporary tools and support to assist you with your goals to a healthier and happier life. TANF provides the following temporary services – “cash assistance, educational activities designed to increase the family self-sufficiency, welfare diversion assistance, and supportive services”. To qualify, the client must “show proof of their county of residence, that their children are members of a federally recognized tribe or a descendant of the California Indian Judgment Rolls and that the family income does not exceed allowable limits”.
